Switching From Mindbody: What to Know Before You Migrate
Why gyms look at switching
Mindbody publishes a starting price for its entry-level Starter plan ($99/month per location, per their public pricing page) but requires a sales conversation for its Accelerate and Ultimate tiers. That's a common reason gyms start comparing alternatives — it's hard to budget against a price you can't see, especially once a gym has outgrown the entry tier's feature set.
Before you commit to switching
Get a straight answer on three things from any provider you're evaluating, including Mindbody itself: the actual price at your member count, whether that price is per-location or per-gym, and what happens to your data if you leave. None of these should require guesswork.
Exporting your member data
Most platforms, Mindbody included, allow exporting a member list as CSV or Excel. Before migrating, export your full member list, active subscriptions, and — if possible — a payment history summary. You won't necessarily need all of it on day one, but it's much easier to have it archived than to request it later after an account is closed.
What migration actually looks like
Trakzfit's bulk import tool accepts CSV and Excel files directly, with a validation step that flags duplicates and formatting issues before anything is committed — most gyms complete a full member list migration in under an hour, depending on list size and how clean the exported data is. Historical payment records can either stay in your old export as an archive, or get summarized as notes on each member's profile during setup.
Comparing the numbers
Trakzfit publishes pricing for Basic ($29/month), Standard ($59/month), and Professional ($99/month), with Enterprise by quote — the same public-pricing standard we'd expect from any platform we compare against. See the full, sourced breakdown on our Trakzfit vs Mindbody comparison page, and the import process itself on the Bulk Member Import feature page.
